Vintage - calico and patchwork quilt - twin size - 66.5" x 77"

Calico, vintage cotton patchwork squares create a beautiful, 66.5" x 77", quilt that would look great on that little girls bed or cottage bedroom decor.

This vintage/calico blocks quilt top was sourced from Tennessee. The quilt top was machine pieced from green calico cotton and vintage prints that create a pleasant block pieced quilt design. After quilting and washing/drying it finished out at 66.5"x77", twin size, which is the ideal size for that little girls bed you have been wanting to refresh. This quilt is butter soft and ready to use.

I am drawn to older quilts and found this quilt top that needed to become a finished quilt. I have been buying quilt tops for the past several years with the goal of finishing them. Snuggling under or using a vintage/antique quilt as home decor is my goal for all of these quilt tops. Some of them I will be keeping for myself (as if I NEED more quilts) others I will be selling for others to enjoy.

Before quilting I ironed the top inspecting all seams, repairing and reinforcing any that were loose. I chose a daisy quilting pattern that picks up the cute daisy floral design in the green calico squares.

Design -
Front :: pieced cotton calico, pieced vintage fabric squares

Back :: pieced back with several blocks of vintage calicos and floral prints making the quilt two-sided or reversible

Quilting :: is done with a computerized pattern on my Gammill Elevate longarm quilter with white cotton quilting thread in a daisy, floral pattern with 100% cotton quilters thread

Binding :: double layered pieced calico/floral print that has been machine stitched

Batting :: Hobbs 80/20 cotton/poly batting
